The groom’s suite, tucked in the basement, offers privacy, while the bride’s suite in the main room provides ample natural light. A Joyous Wedding Celebration

Janice and Ireneo’s wedding at Vizcaya Sacramento was a vibrant and heartfelt celebration. I first met Janice at a free photographer and model meetup in Sacramento called Good Inc where we all were practicing our skills. I connected with Janice easily for our shared loved for food and tattoos. When she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was thrilled to say yes.

The day was a blend of elegance and fun, captured through multiple mediums: digital photography, film photography, Super 8 video, and digital video. Capturing their moments in such diverse formats added depth and a nostalgic charm to their wedding story. The bride and groom prepared for the day in Vizcaya’s conveniently located side house. Janice’s bridal suite, filled with natural light, was perfect for capturing the intricate details of her dress and final touches of makeup. Meanwhile, Ireneo and his groomsmen relaxed in the cozy basement suite, sharing laughs before the ceremony.

From the first look by the iconic fountain to the evening toasts, every moment was filled with joy and connection. Documenting their wedding felt like preserving a piece of history through modern and vintage lenses.
