Emily and Matthew’s wedding in McCloud blended natural beauty with thoughtful details. Their ceremony took place on private property, framed by towering trees and an open view of Mount Shasta. Wildflowers in oranges, pinks, and yellows surrounded the space, blending seamlessly with the landscape. Emily’s bouquet mirrored these colors, featuring ranunculus, pincushion protea, and anemones, with a white orchid adding a refined touch. As a Northern California Wedding Photographer I knew their wedding would be beautifully captured on 35mm film. As you look through their photos you’ll see mostly 35mm film photographer featured with a few digital.
One of the most meaningful details was the hand-dyed napkins. Each guest signed a napkin, which was then strung as delicate flags around the ceremony space. As the wind carried them, they created a colorful, intimate frame for their vows.
Lively Reception at Axe & Rose Restaurant
The celebration continued at Axe & Rose Restaurant inside the historic McCloud Hotel. The reception space combined rustic warmth with modern elegance. Tall gold stands held floral centerpieces in coral, orange, and pink, adding depth and energy. Gold-rimmed chargers and candlelight enhanced the inviting atmosphere. A neon sign reading “It was always you” glowed above the sweetheart table. Guests enjoyed heartfelt speeches, an intimate dinner, and a lively evening of celebration.
