Getting Ready at Lakeview Estates & Winery

Jessica and Michael’s wedding at Lakeview Estates & Winery was beautiful, even with some rain showers in the morning. They remained optimistic and loving throughout the day. The October weather in Sacramento can be unpredictable, often turning hot, so the rain might have been a blessing. The blush florals, with shades of pink and terracotta, perfectly complemented the venue.

The bride and groom prepared for their wedding in the bridal suite and groom’s den within the property’s home, accompanied by their bridal party. The large windows allowed beautiful natural light to fill the space on the cloudy day. The modern, spacious design provided a stunning setting for them to get ready. The bridal suite features a gorgeous floral installation, creating an exceptional indoor backdrop. The groom’s den, equipped with a billiards table, offered a fun way to pass the time and capture memorable photos.

First Look and a Quick Chance at Portraits Before the Rain

Jessica and Michael decided to do a private first look prior to their ceremony in the middle rose-bush pathway. Family members and the bridal party were able to catch a glimpse at a distance from the house. After the first look, we took the opportunity to do some portraits before the rain started and we had to transition into the house for family photos.

Til Death do us Part 

The sprinkles stopped just in time for Jessica and Michael’s ceremony at the Lakeview ceremony site. They exchanged vows by the peaceful lake, under an awning that would have been useful on a sunny day. My favorite features are the stone pillars and bistro lights. Their ceremony arch featured blush, terracotta, and white florals arranged on floral pillars. Gold Chiavari chairs lined the rows, with reserved signage for VIP guests. As Jessica and Michael exchanged vows, I captured her father’s tears, his grandparents’ smiles, the bridesmaids’ joy, and the couple’s love for each other. After their vows and a kiss to seal their marriage, the newlyweds exited through a shower of bubbles from their guests.

Cocktails, the Squad, and Quick Portraits Before Dinner

If there’s an eggroll or shrimp appetizer, I’m in. Jokes aside, after the ceremony, Jessica and Michael shared a private moment and enjoyed signature cocktails before taking formal portraits with each other and their bridal party. Their seating chart, adorned with greenery and a timeless initial monogram, was a hit. The catering was superb, featuring locally sourced ingredients and customized menus to suit every taste. If you are looking for a reception space that is bright but still luxurious and intimate, Lakeview Estates & Winery has it! From the hanging chandeliers to the beautiful tablescapes, their whole vision speaks for itself. My favorite detail is their incorporation of their dog, Beau, who made an excellent cupcake topper. Before dancing the whole night away and partying a little to hard, Jessica and Michael ended their night with me with a sparkler exit. Remember to keep multiple water buckets ready to extinguish those sparklers!
